🇺🇦❤️ A scout who doesn't hide behind his back: the story of 22-year-old Defender Artem Hryhorenko from Zmiiv Region
He is only 22, but behind his shoulders are battles that not every adult can withstand. Artem Hryhorenko is a scout of the 54th separate mechanized brigade. A guy from the village of Zidki, Zmiivska hromada, who after school earned a degree in hotel and restaurant business administration, at 18 he went to serve in the Airborne Assault Forces. The full-scale invasion changed everything.
After being wounded in 2023, he became unfit for military service. But he did not take off his uniform — he signed a contract and joined the ground forces.
Artem is currently in brigade reconnaissance. As part of the reconnaissance group, he performs combat missions in the most dangerous areas.
“Being a defender means standing between danger and those I love. It’s a responsibility I took on consciously,” says Artem.
His first sortie was not a training exercise, but 26 days of hell near Verkhnyokamyanske. Continuous assaults, cold, exhaustion, danger — he held his position. He mined the front line, disrupted enemy attacks. Thanks to his actions — at least three assaults were destroyed.
Another episode is the clearing of buildings. Together with his comrades, Artem destroyed two occupiers, took four more prisoner. One of them - personally. But then - a drone strike. 22 FPV in a few hours. Despite the barrage of enemy fire, Artem led the prisoners to the rear. And returned - to evacuate his own.
This is a story about maturity that comes too early. About those who do not hide, but move forward. Artem Grigorenko is one of them. A warrior who fights not for glory, but for peace.
