Lake Kostiantovka, Charity tournament in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the Zmiiv Mayor's Cup in sport fishing "Big Fish - 2025"


🎣 THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY CHARITY TOURNAMENT IN SPORT FISHING IN SUPPORT OF THE AFU WAS HELD IN THE ZMIIV COMMUNITY

On August 23–24, a charity sport fishing tournament for the Zmiiv Mayor's Cup was held on Lake Kostiantovka, dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence. This year's competition was the tenth, anniversary, and traditionally organized in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

➡️ The event was organized by the Zmiiv City Council, and the main sponsor of the tournament was the agricultural farm "ReViK".

➡️ Among the participants are 21 teams from the Zmiivska community, as well as Kharkiv, Bezlyudivka, Lyzohubivka, Vasyshchyve, Merefa, Donetsk and Bud.

Despite the sharp deterioration of weather conditions before the start of the event, which, according to experienced fishermen, significantly affected the activity of the fish, the competition was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Whole families traditionally came to the tournament - because this event has become not only a sports event, but also a family holiday.

➡️ This year, the competition was held in a single nomination - "Long Cast".

The results of the competition were summed up at the awarding ceremony for the participants, which was held by Zmiiv City Mayor Pavlo Golodnikov, heads of the SFG "ReViK" Dmitro Revenko and Andriy Revenko, headman of the Borivskyi starostyn district Andriy Horbatyuk, and representative of the Department of Culture, Youth, Sports and Tourism Ruslan Amosov.

✅ The third place went to the "Rybachok" team with a catch of a bream weighing 1 kg 760 g, the second place went to the "Trophy" team with a trophy weighing 1 kg 840 g. And the winner of the tournament and the owner of the main Cup of the competition was the "Karpfishing" team with a catch of a bream weighing 1 kg 770 g and a pike perch - 2 kg 550 g. It also won in the "Big fish" nomination. The prize-winners received cups, diplomas, medals, as well as valuable gifts for fishing - bait, tackle, bags and other useful things from the organizers and sponsors.
