HEROES' ALLEYS WERE PAVED IN VELETNY, ZADONETSKIY, SOKOLOVE AND CHEMUZHIVKA

The places of remembrance and honor to the fallen Heroes-Compatriots were solemnly opened on December 30.

As Zmiiv City Mayor Pavlo Golodnikov noted, it is the sacred duty of each of us to preserve the memory of the fallen Heroes and pass it on to future generations. The Zmiiv City Council will do everything possible to ensure that the faces and names of our fellow countrymen's warriors are never erased from human memory.

We would like to remind you that this year the city council began work on the arrangement of Heroes' Alleys in the settlements of the starosta districts of the Zmiiv territorial community. The Alleys have already been opened in Taranivka, Birky, Borova, and the village of Zidky.

On New Year's Eve, memorial sites appeared in Zadonetsky, Veletny, Sokolov, and Chemuzhivka.

As the mayor said, next year, Heroes' Alleys will be installed in Zmiiv and Tymchenki.

Memorial plaques to two Heroes – Serhiy Litvinov and Volodymyr Matyushenko – were installed in the village of Zadonetske.

Six Heroes are immortalized in the village of Veleten – Konstantin Levin, Serhiy Kholod, Olena Levitska, Oleksandr Kornievsky, Pavlo Charkin, and Maksym Butenko.

In the village of Birky, the Alley was supplemented with a memorial plaque with a photo of the deceased. Oleksandr Levanda fell in the Zaporizhia direction on August 12, 2023.

In the village of Sokolove, two fallen Heroes – Oleksandr Labunsky and Oleksandr Khomenko – were immortalized in granite.

In the village of Chemuzhivka, 12 memorial plaques were installed on the Alley of Heroes to the fallen villagers.
