Bitter news has again reached the Zmiiv territorial community. Defending Ukraine, another of our compatriots passed away - BEREZYUK VITALIY ANATOLIYOVYCH. He was only 29...

Vitaliy was born on March 11, 1994 in the city of Zmiiv. He studied at the gymnasium of the village of Vyrishnyi. Then he received his education at the Kharkiv Machine-Building College. And in 2018 he graduated from the Kharkiv Polytechnic University, where he also studied at the military department.

After completing his higher education, Vitaliy worked in the Temnivska Correctional Colony. Then he worked as a mechanic at JSC "Kharkivoblenergo".

In February 2023, Lieutenant Vitaly Berezyuk defended his native country from Russian occupiers. Since June, contact with him has been lost. All this time, he was considered missing.

And only recently was his body identified. Unfortunately, Berezyuk Vitaliy, commander of the reconnaissance platoon of the A4891 high-altitude unit, died on June 15, 2023, courageously fulfilling his military duty in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence near the settlement of Rozdolivka, Donetsk region.

Vitaliy is survived by his loving family – parents, brother, daughter, relatives and friends.

The Zmiiv City Council expresses its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased at this sad moment. Together with you, we share the great grief of the loss of a loved one and bow our heads in sorrow before the bright memory of our courageous Hero-Defender.

We are eternally indebted to Vitaliy's feat...
