IN MEMORY OF PAVL CHARKIN
On September 11, the village of Pershotravneve said goodbye to 30-year-old Pavlo Charkin, a courageous defender and true patriot of his country.
Senior Lieutenant Pavlo Charkin, commander of the 1st mortar platoon - senior officer of the 1st mortar battery, 3rd assault battalion of the VC A 0501, died during a combat mission on September 4, 2024 in the area of ββββthe settlement of Sudzha, Kursk region.
The hero is originally from Pershotravneve. He was born here, graduated from a local school, after which he received higher education at the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, majoring in "Information Design Technologies" with the qualification "Computer Systems Analyst".
At the university, Pavlo completed a military course and earned the rank of junior lieutenant.
Pavlo began his career in 2017. He worked as an installer of information and communication networks and equipment, a computer systems engineer, and a system administrator in an international IT company.
A month after the full-scale invasion, in March 2022, Pavlo defends his country as part of the 92nd separate assault brigade named after Kosh Ataman Ivan Sirko.
During his service, he showed courage and steadfastness in the fight against the Russian aggressor, as evidenced by numerous awards: the breastplate of the 92nd separate assault brigade, the medal "For the Defense of Kharkiv", the medal of the President of Ukraine "For Military Service", and the medal "For Participation in the Battles in the Svatyiv Direction".
"At the cost of the young lives of such courageous Heroes as Pavlo Charkin, we are today fighting for a free tomorrow for our Ukraine. Therefore, we must remember and honor each of the dead," Zmiiv City Mayor Pavlo Golodnikov emphasized in his speech.
Pavel was accompanied on his last earthly journey by government officials, friends, comrades-in-arms, fellow villagers, and grateful countrymen.
Strength and patience to the Hero's parents, family, and beloved to endure this heavy loss.
And we must remember each and every one who defends our freedom at the cost of their own lives!
