🕯 The Zmiiv City Council sadly announces the death of Chebotary Oleg Ivanovich, a faithful son of his homeland.
Oleg was born on August 15, 1979 in the city of Kharkiv. He studied at Kharkiv School No. 11. After graduating, he went to work in construction. Then he served in the army - in the Desna military unit.
Since 2011, Oleg, together with his wife and two sons, moved to live in Velyka Gomilsha. He worked as a security guard.
In the fall of 2022, after mobilization, Oleg stood up to defend Ukraine.
During his military service, he proved himself exclusively on the positive side, enjoyed authority among his comrades, and had a high level of motivation for military service.
Senior Sergeant Chebotar Oleg, commander of the machine gun section of the machine gun platoon of the mechanized battalion of military unit A4741, died on July 4, 2023, courageously fulfilling his military duty in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence near the settlement of Priyutne, Polohiv district, Zaporizhia region.
Oleg is survived by his loving family, mother, children, relatives and friends.
The Zmiiv City Council expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased Hero.

In the village of Velyka Gomilsha, the fallen Hero was taken on his last earthly journey. Oleg Chebotar died defending Ukraine from Russian invaders. Our courageous and invincible countrymen joined the ranks of the heavenly army. Eternal memory and eternal glory to the Heroes!
