Private Serhiy Davydov, senior driver of the automobile section of the 1st mortar platoon, 1st mortar battery of the motorized infantry battalion VC A7028, died on September 3, 2024 while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Zalizne, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region.

Serhiy was born on December 27, 1988 in the village of Chemuzhivka. He studied at school there, then received the profession of a car mechanic at

Kharkiv Vocational Technical School. Worked at a gas station.

Since June 18, 2024, the man has been defending the country from the enemy as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We will never forget. We will never forgive the enemy. Heroes do not die. Eternal, bright memory to Sergiy.

The farewell ceremony for the fallen soldier was held in the center of the village. Zmiiv City Mayor Pavlo Golodnikov, the head of the Chemuzhovsky Starostynsky District Valeriy Goncharov, teachers, classmates, friends, fellow villagers... came to pay their last respects to Serhiy.

In peaceful life, Serhiy worked at a gas station. He was a decent and purposeful man, a caring son. He joined the defense of the country in June 2024. He planned a business trip home for his mother's anniversary, but it didn't work out. A week before the 60th birthday of his dearest person, Serhiy's heart stopped from wounds on the battlefield.

Sergiy is forever in the heavenly legion and forever in our memory!

The Hero was buried in his native village.
