Maksym Fedota from Kharkiv region died on January 9 in the Zeleny gayu area.

As reported by the city hall, Fedota was born on March 2, 1991 in Zmiiv.

"He studied at Zmiiv Lyceum No. 1, then at the Kharkiv Road Technical School. After studying, the man completed his military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After returning home, he was engaged in car repair," the city council wrote.

Fedota volunteered to defend Ukraine from Russian occupiers in July 2022.

On January 14, people in Zmiiv said goodbye to the 33-year-old Hero.

For almost three years, Maksym held the skies of Ukraine. In July 2022, he volunteered to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to prevent the enemy from achieving his goal of aggression. And until his last breath, he remained faithful to his military oath and the Ukrainian people.

The entire Zmiiv community is in mourning today. The best of its sons are flying away like white angels to the heavenly army.

We remember each and every one who gave their lives for the future of a free, independent Ukraine!

Maxim is survived by his wife, daughter, parents, and brother. May you have the strength and fortitude to endure the loss of your loved one.

Maksym was born on March 2, 1991 in Zmiiv, in a friendly and creative family. He studied at Zmiiv Lyceum No. 1, later at the Kharkiv Road Technical School. After studying, he completed his military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After returning home, he worked as a car mechanic, helped people, and made plans for the future.

On September 23, 2013, Maksym started a family. Together with his wife, they raised a daughter.

In July 2022, Maksym voluntarily stood up to defend his homeland. Without hesitation – with a deep awareness of responsibility for his country, his family, and his home.

He will forever remain for us a model of courage, bravery, and true patriotism.

Long live the Hero.
