🇺🇦Gorbatenko was born on July 31, 2002 in the village of Borova. In 2005, his family moved to Zidki, where he graduated from Zidkivska secondary school. Immediately after receiving his certificate, the guy signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and participated in the joint forces operation in the East of the country.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he also stood up for the defense of Ukraine. During his service, he was awarded the Ivan Sirko medal, the "For Exemplary Service" badge, the "War Veteran" badge, and the "ATO Participant" badge.

Junior Sergeant Horbatenko died on February 24, 2024, while performing combat duty in the Donetsk direction. The news of the hero's death was only confirmed now.

On April 4, Defender of Ukraine Denys Horbatenko was taken to his final earthly journey in the village of Zidky.

On July 31, he would have turned only 22 years old.

Junior Sergeant Denys Horbatenko (call sign "Kinder"), died during a combat mission as part of a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk region on February 24, 2024.

Denis is originally from Borova. In 2005, he moved with his family to the village of Zidki. After graduating from the local school, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in the Joint Forces Operation.

During his service, he was awarded the Ivan Sirko Medal, the "For Exemplary Service" badge, the "War Veteran" badge, and the "ATO Participant" badge.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion of the Russian occupiers, he defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. In 2022, Denis got married and dreamed of a long, happy life.

Unfortunately, war takes the best. Denys returned home on a shield. He gave his life for Ukraine and for each of us!

The deceased Hero is survived by his parents, sister, and beloved wife.
