Our compatriot, a resident of the village of Zidky, Ihor Hritchyn, died in the battles for Ukraine.

He was a grenade launcher of the 3rd mechanized detachment of the 1st mechanized platoon of the 4th mechanized company of the 2nd mechanized battalion of military unit A0536. The Hero died on March 6, 2024 in battle near the settlement of Tonenke, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region. He gave his life defending the Motherland and the future of each of us.

Igor was born and raised in Zidki, studied at a local school, and obtained the profession of a crane operator at a Kharkiv school. In his civilian life, he worked in construction, was a hardworking person, a good friend, and a loving son.

We express our sincere condolences to his family and friends. Eternal memory and glory to the Defender of Ukraine.

Farewell to the deceased will take place on March 21 at 11:00 in the village of Zidky, 37 Budivelna Street.
