Kholod Serhiy Vyacheslavovich 06.08.19965 - 13.03.2022

Serhiy was born on August 6, 1995 in the village of Veleten (Pershotravneve). He studied at a local school. From a young age, he chose the path of serving his homeland and in 2013 joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade.

He went through some of the most difficult trials of the Russian-Ukrainian war. In August 2014, Serhiy participated in the battles near Ilovaisk and on August 25, 2014, he emerged from the Ilovaisk Cauldron — one of the most tragic pages in the modern history of the Ukrainian army. For his courage and indomitability, he was awarded the Hero of Ilovaisk medal.

In 2017, Serhiy completed his contract service and returned to civilian life. However, when Russia launched a full-scale invasion, he again did not hesitate to defend Ukraine.

On February 27, 2022, Serhiy, along with other volunteers, joined the ranks and served as part of military unit A0216.

On March 13, 2022, Serhiy Kholod died in battles for the city of Mykolaiv near the village of Greihove, courageously performing his military duty.
