🇺🇦🕯 Senior driver-mechanic of the 1st mechanized detachment of the 1st mechanized platoon of the 5th mechanized company of the 2nd mechanized battalion of military unit A0536, junior sergeant. Died near the settlement of Vodyane, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region.

Junior Sergeant Serhiy Khomenko, senior mechanic, driver of the 1st mechanized detachment, 1st mechanized platoon, 5th mechanized company, 2nd mechanized battalion of military unit A0501, died on March 8, 2023 during battles near the settlement of Vodyane, Donetsk region.

Serhiy is originally from the village of Vysochynivka, where he was born and raised. After serving in the army, he worked in forestry for almost 25 years.

In January 2023, he volunteered to defend his country.

The Hero is survived by a loving family, relatives, loved ones, and friends.

The Zmiiv City Council expresses its deep condolences to everyone who knew, loved, and respected Serhiy.

The death of the Hero is an irreparable loss for our entire community.
