Maksym was born in the village of Zidky, Kharkiv region. His mother died early, so the boy was raised by his father, grandmother and godmother. After school, he graduated from the Kharkiv Vocational and Technical School and received a degree in assembly. In 2014, he participated in the ATO in Donbas. He met his love and planned to get married.

From the first days of the full-scale war, the man again took up arms to defend his homeland. He became a rifleman in the 209th Separate Territorial Defense Battalion of the A7378 Military Unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"During his life, Maxim was a very loyal friend, a good son, a man with a big, kind heart. He was among those who lived through the war. In 2014, he volunteered for the ATO, went through several rotations there, and received many awards. Our love story lasted 10 years. We planned a wedding in 2023, but the war took him away from me forever. Heroes, unfortunately, die, but in memory forever! I love my hero very much!" - said the beloved warrior Karina.

The Hero was buried in his native village.

Maxim is survived by his father, grandmother, godmother, and fiancée.

🕯🇺🇦 ETERNAL GLORY! DEFENDER MAXYM KIRIENKO WAS BURIED IN ZIDKY

🕯🇺🇦🕯 On January 16, Maxim would have turned 28. On this day, he and his fiancée planned to celebrate their wedding. But the war thwarted the plans and cut short the life of a very young man. Maxim Kiriyenko died defending Ukraine on December 30, 2022. We said goodbye to the hero on January 12 in his native village of Zidki.
