The Zmiiv City Council sadly announces another irreparable loss for our community.
The death of Dmytro Kolmykov, a resident of the village of Chemuzhivka, who had been missing for more than a year, has been confirmed.
Dmytro Kolmykov, a sniper of the 2nd mechanized detachment, 2nd mechanized platoon, 8th mechanized company, 3rd mechanized battalion, died on July 23, 2023 while performing a combat mission in the area of ​​the settlement of Robotyne, Polohivskyi district, Zaporizhia region.
Dmytro was born in Chemuzhivka on April 13, 1987. He graduated from a local school and the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy. He worked as a driver.
In October 2012, Dmitry started a family. Together with his wife, he raised a son.
He stood up for the country's defense from the first days of the full-scale invasion - March 4, 2022. During this time, he defended Ukraine in many hot spots in the Donetsk and Zaporizhia directions.
The Zmiiv City Council expresses its sincere condolences to Dmytro's family and friends. This is an irreparable loss for our entire community. A low bow to the fallen Defender for his sacrificial feat in the name of the future of our state and for protecting each of us!

Soldier Dmytro Kolmykov, alias Tykhy, died on July 23, 2023, while repelling an enemy assault near the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhia region. The defender was 36 years old.
Dmytro was born on April 13, 1987 in the village of Chemuzhivka in the Kharkiv region. In 2011, he graduated from the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy in the regional center, earning a qualification as a mechanical engineer and teacher of transport disciplines. In civilian life, he worked as a driver, most recently at VEGA-BUD LLC.
On March 4, 2022, the man stood up to defend the Motherland from the Russian occupiers. Initially, he served in military unit A4454, fought in the Donetsk region. Later, he was transferred to the 47th separate mechanized brigade "Magura", where he took the position of sniper. He defended the Zaporizhzhia direction.
"Dmytro was sincere and open in communication, reliable and incredibly positive, always ready to help. He had many friends. He was a brave warrior, patriot and defender of the Motherland. Until his last breath, he remained faithful to his brothers and his people. Ukraine must know its Heroes, its Defenders. His slogan was "Everything will be fine, the truth is behind us, God and Ukraine are with us." He was the best husband, loving father, good son, brother, loyal friend!" - wrote his wife Svitlana.
The warrior was buried in his native village.
He is survived by his mother, sister, wife and son.

On August 18, the fallen Hero Dmytro Kolmykov was seen off on his last earthly journey in the village of Chemuzhivka.
Dmitry began defending the country almost from the first days of the full-scale invasion of the Russian occupiers. On March 4, 2022, the man was already in the ranks.
During his service, he repelled enemy attacks in the hottest points of the front - in the Donetsk and Zaporizhia directions. In July of last year, contact with Dmitry was lost. For more than a year, he was listed as missing. Only recently was the Hero's body identified.
As it became known, Dmytro Kolmykov, a sniper of the 2nd mechanized detachment, 2nd mechanized platoon, 8th mechanized company, 3rd mechanized battalion, died on July 23, 2023 while performing a combat mission in the area of ​​the settlement of Robotyne, Polohivskyi district, Zaporizhia region.
On August 18, the fallen Hero Dmytro Kolmykov returned home on his shield. He was buried with honors in his native Chemuzhivka.
The man is survived by his wife, son, and parents.
