The body of the fallen Hero was returned during one of the last exchanges.

Private Oleksandr Kolomyts, assistant rifleman of the assault detachment, assault platoon of the 11th assault company, 3rd assault battalion of the VC A 2582, died while performing a combat mission on December 27, 2023 in the area of ​​the settlement of Verbovye, Polohiv district, Zaporizhzhia region.

Oleksandr was born on October 19, 1979 in the village of Reznikovo, Vovchansky district. In 1987, he and his family moved to the village of Vyrishnyi, Zmiivska hromada.

After graduating from Zmiiv School No. 2, the man began his career.

Oleksandr Kolomyts defended the country in January 2023. He will forever remain a model of courage, resilience, and patriotism.

The Hero is survived by his mother, brother, wife, and two daughters, ages 12 and 13.
