🕯 Zmiiv City Council sadly announces another irreparable loss suffered by our community.

💔On August 17, 2025, in the war with the aggressor, while defending the Motherland from the Russian occupiers, our compatriot, defender Roman Volodymyrovych Kovzalo, died.

Roman Kovzalo was born on April 4, 1979 in Borova. He studied at Borova School No. 1. He received his higher education at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. In recent years, he lived in the city of Irpin, Kyiv region, from where he went to defend his homeland. He defended his native country as part of the 95th ODShB as an operator of the airborne assault detachment.

Private Roman Volodymyrovych Kovzalo died while defending the Motherland, faithful to the oath and the Ukrainian people, courageously performing military duty on August 17, 2025 near the village of Mogrytsia, Sumy district, Sumy region.
