Ruslan Mykolayovych Mikhailov was born on January 26, 1988 in the village of Paraskoviyivka, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region, where he graduated from school.

All my life I dreamed of working as a trucker and traveling.

IN MEMORY OF Ruslan Mykolayovych Mikhailov

On February 10, the village of Birky hosted the funeral of the fallen defender of Ukraine, Ruslan Mykhaylov. He was 35 years old.

Ruslan was born in the Donetsk region, but lived most of his life in the city of Kupyansk, where he worked as a physical education teacher. In 2011, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under a contract. Since 2014, he has undergone several rotations in joint forces operations.

In 2016, Ruslan was awarded the "Dignity and Honor" badge and the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal, and in June 2022, by order of the Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, he was awarded the "10 Years of Conscientious Service" medal.

A full-scale war caught the man at his place of service – in the border detachment of the Eastern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service.

In May of last year, Ruslan Mikhailov moved his family from Kupyansk to the village of Birki.

The border guard died on February 10, 2023, while performing a combat mission, receiving non-life-threatening injuries. He is survived by his parents, wife, and two children.

A bright memory to our fellow soldier who defended Ukraine and each of us.

Eternal respect and gratitude! Heroes never die!

Mykhaylov Ruslan Nikolaevich
