The Zmiiv City Council sadly announces another irreparable loss suffered by our community.
On June 6, near the village of Levadne, Hulyaipolsky district, Zaporizhia region, a resident of Zmiiv, Junior Sergeant NEVMYVAKA IHOR, commander of the reconnaissance detachment, reconnaissance platoon, 1st mechanized battalion, 23rd mechanized brigade of the HF A4741, died defending Ukraine.
Igor was born on February 6, 1979 in Zmiiv. He studied at Zmiiv First School (now Lyceum 1). After graduation, he continued his studies at the Kharkiv College of Construction, Architecture and Design.
After receiving his diploma, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After demobilization, he decided to connect his life with service in law enforcement agencies. After completing his training in Mariupol, he was enlisted in the Zmiivskyi District Police Department, where Igor worked for 12 years.
After the full-scale Russian invasion, he, together with his cousin Roman, stood up for the defense of Ukraine. Side by side, they participated in the liberation of the Kharkiv region. They fought in many hot spots: Bakhmut, Kherson, Zaporizhia...
Unfortunately, Igor died, remaining faithful to his military oath until his last breath.
Igor is survived by his wife, two daughters, a sister, and nephews.
