πŸ•― The Zmiiv City Council sadly announces another irreparable loss suffered by our community.

Andriy Nikiforenko was born on December 21, 1987 in the city of Merefa. He studied at Merefa school No. 4. After graduating from grade 11, he entered the Kharkiv Vocational and Technical School, where he obtained the profession of an auto mechanic.

After getting married, Andriy moved to the village of Birki, where he had two children.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian army in February last year, Andriy Nikiforenko volunteered for the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He courageously and bravely carried out the combat missions assigned to him. On August 23, 2022, he was awarded the commemorative medal "For the Defense of the Hero City of Kharkiv", and on October 14, 2022, he was awarded the breastplate "Honorary Distinction" of the 127th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the III degree.

Soldier Andriy Nikyforenko, driver of the 2nd rifle squad of the 1st rifle platoon of the 3rd rifle company of military unit A7400, died on March 21, 2023 in the settlement of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region.
