🕯 The Zmiiv City Council sadly announces another irreparable loss for our community. 30-year-old Zmiiv resident Serhiy Oleksiyovych PLESHKOV died in the war.

Junior Sergeant Serhiy PLESHKOV, Staff Sergeant of the 3rd Category of the Mechanized Battalion of the VC A4741, died while performing a combat mission on October 27, 2024 near the settlement of Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk District, Donetsk Region.

Serhiy was born on January 11, 1994 in Zmiiv. He studied at Zmiiv Lyceum No. 1, then continued his studies at Chuguyevo-Babchansky Forestry College. After graduating, he worked in his specialty.

From 2015 to 2016, Serhiy served in the ATO zone. After demobilization, he returned to work. He worked at the Zmiiv Dairy Plant.

In 2018, Serhiy Pleshkov got married. Together with his wife, they raised a daughter and a son.

In March 2022, Serhiy, together with his best friend, volunteered to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During his service, he was awarded the Order of the President of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine".

The Zmiiv City Council expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. The entire Zmiiv community bows its heads low before the bright memory of Serhiy.

Bright and eternal memory to the Hero!

Farewell to the fallen soldier Serhiy Pleshkov will take place on November 2 at 11:00 in the central park of the city of Zmiiv.

On November 2, Zmiiv said goodbye to the fallen Hero.

30-year-old Junior Sergeant Serhiy Pleshkov died on October 27, 2024 near the village of Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region.

After the full-scale invasion of the Russian occupiers, Serhiy and his best friend volunteer to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Serhiy Pleshkov courageously and loyally defended his country from the enemy, showing valor and heroism.

During his service, he was awarded the Order of the President of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine".

The man is survived by his wife and two young children.

The Hero, along with his family and friends, was accompanied on his last earthly journey by Zmiiv Mayor Pavlo Golodnikov, classmates, friends, acquaintances, comrades-in-arms, and Zmiiv residents.

Serhiy was buried in his hometown.

Eternal memory and respect to the Ukrainian warrior Serhiy and to all who defended Ukraine and each of us at the cost of their own lives!
