The Zmiiv City Council announces with deep sadness the death of our compatriot, a faithful son of Ukraine - Oleksandr Robochy.
Oleksandr was born on February 5, 1996 in the city of Zmiiv in a friendly family. He studied at Zmiiv Lyceum No. 1. From an ordinary cheerful boy, he grew into a strong, courageous man - responsible, sincere, a little shy, but with an open heart.
After graduating from high school, he entered the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. Later, he was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and connected his life with military affairs.
Alexander met the full-scale invasion of Russia in the ranks. True to his oath, he remained in the defense of the state until his last breath. He served as a senior soldier, senior machine gunner (armored car) of the 3rd anti-aircraft missile detachment of the 3rd anti-aircraft missile platoon of the 1st anti-aircraft missile battery of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery division. During his service, he established himself as a disciplined and reliable soldier, was repeatedly awarded military decorations, and became a support for his comrades.
On July 20, 2024, Oleksandr got married. Together with his wife Maria, he rejoiced at the birth of his daughter, made plans, and dreamed of a peaceful future for his family and country.
On February 16, 2026, while performing a combat mission, Oleksandr died near the settlement of Novopidhorne, Synelnyk district, Dnipropetrovsk region.
He was only 30 years old...
War mercilessly cuts short the lives of the best. But the memory of Alexander will live on in the hearts of his fellow countrymen, in the gratitude of the community, in the freedom for which he paid the most dearly.
The Zmiiv City Council expresses its sincere condolences to the Hero's wife, daughter, parents, relatives, and brothers and sisters.
We bow our heads in sorrow.
Eternal memory. Eternal glory to the Hero of Ukraine. 🕯
