Serhiy Romanchenko, a kind, sincere person, a loving husband and father, a reliable friend, and a brave Defender of Ukraine, was laid to rest in his native Zmiiv. He died on April 30, 2025, during hostilities in the Kharkiv region near the settlement of Veterinarne.
Sergey was born on January 13, 1969. His whole life is connected with Zmiev. Here he grew up, studied, worked, and started a family. He was known as a man with golden hands, a kind heart, and a sincere smile. For many years, the man worked as a turner at a machine-building plant, loved nature, fishing, grew grapes, and made crafts from wood.
Serhiy had a strong, loving family, where warmth and support reigned. He and his wife lived together for 27 years and raised their daughter Anastasia.
When war came to the country, Serhiy did not stay away. In June 2024, he was mobilized. He served as a grenade launcher, performing combat missions with dignity and honor, defending his native land.
Serhiy Romanchenko will forever remain in our hearts as a Man with a capital letter β sincere, hardworking, loving, and devoted to his country.
We thank him for his protection, for his courage, for his love for Ukraine.
Eternal memory and bright future, Sergey.
We will never forget. We remember. We honor.
