Shemygon Bohdan Stanislavovych 06/28/1974 - 03/11/2023

🕯 The Zmiiv City Council sadly announces the death of our fellow countryman - Shemyhon Bohdan Stanislavovych.

Bohdan was born on June 28, 1974 in the village of Chemuzhivka in a large family. He studied at the Chemuzhiv school. After graduating from the 8th grade at the age of 15, he went to work at the Zmiiv Machine-Building Plant. In 1992, on his birthday, he was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine for military service.

Bohdan was a first-class driver. In recent years, he worked as a car mechanic at the company "Trak Service-2018", where he was respected by his colleagues and manager.

Friends remember Bohdan as a responsible, determined and courageous, reliable friend who was always ready to help. Bohdan raised a daughter, who is now 18 years old. He was a good father, a caring son and a loving brother.

The full-scale invasion of the Russian army in February last year prompted Bohdan to volunteer for the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On February 26, he went to the military enlistment office, and on March 1, 2022, he was accepted into military service.

Junior Sergeant Bohdan Shemygon, driver of the 2nd mechanized platoon of the 8th mechanized company of the 3rd mechanized battalion of military unit A 0501, who took the military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people, courageously fulfilling his military duty in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence, died near the settlement of Khromovo, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region, on March 11, 2023.

Bohdan is survived by his loving family – parents, wife, daughter, sisters, brother, and nephews.

In this difficult time for all of us, we share the pain of loss with Bohdan's family, loved ones, and friends and bow our heads in deep sorrow.

IN MEMORY OF THE FALLEN HERO BOHDAN SHEMYGON

On March 22, the village of Chemuzhivka said goodbye to its fallen compatriot, Junior Sergeant Bohdan Shemyhon. He died defending Ukraine on March 11 near the settlement of Khromovo, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region.

The Hero was accompanied on his last journey by Zmiiv City Mayor Pavlo Golodnikov, relatives, friends, and fellow villagers. The deceased Bohdan Shemyhon is survived by his parents, wife, daughter, sisters, brother, and nephews.
