Artilleryman from Kharkiv region died in battles near Kramatorsk

In Zmiyev, Maxim Sidorov, who died at the front, was laid to rest.

As the city council said, Sidorov missed his 30th birthday by several months.

The deceased hero graduated from Zmiiv Lyceum No. 1, then continued his studies at the Kharkiv Lyceum of Architecture, Construction and Design. He was engaged in boxing, was a prize-winner in competitions of various levels.

After training, he worked in the State Security Service. In 2017, Sidorov served in the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, defending his homeland in Donbas for three years. After the full-scale invasion, the man from the first days of the war returned to his 25th brigade as a junior sergeant of the missile and artillery battery of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery battalion.

The hero was mortally wounded on September 25 near the settlement of Nove, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region.

Maxim is survived by his parents and a little daughter.
