Once again, terrible news from the battlefield reached the Zmiiv community.

On November 16, 2024, in the area of ​​​​Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, soldier Bohdan Solovey, deputy commander of a combat vehicle, gunner-operator of a mechanized detachment, mechanized platoon, mechanized company, mechanized battalion of the VC A4722, died while performing a combat mission.

Bohdan was born on July 24, 2003 in the village of Rozdolne. He studied at the Taranivska school. After graduating from it, he entered the Kharkiv Vocational Lyceum of Construction Technologies. Then he continued his studies at the Regional Center for Vocational Education of Innovative Technologies of Construction and Industry, where he repeatedly won the competition of professional skills in the profession of "Electric Welder".

In 2021, Bohdan was called up for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And in 2023, he signed a contract and remained in service.

For his significant personal contribution to preserving Ukraine's defense capability, exemplary performance of military duty in repelling armed aggression against Ukraine, impeccable service, and high professionalism, Bohdan received a Certificate of Appreciation from the unit's leadership.

Bohdan did not have time to start a family. His very young life was taken by a hated enemy who came to our land with war. The Zmiiv City Council expresses its deepest condolences to Bohdan's family and friends. We mourn with you and bow our heads in grief.

On November 22, 21-year-old Hero Bohdan Solovya was taken to his final earthly journey in the village of Rozdolne.

Private Bohdan Solovey, deputy commander of a combat vehicle, gunner-operator of a mechanized detachment, mechanized platoon, mechanized company, and mechanized battalion of the A4722 air defense unit, died on November 16, 2024 in the Kupyansk direction while performing a combat mission.

Bohdan Solovey is from the village of Rozdolne. He studied at the Taranivska school. After graduating from it, he entered the Kharkiv Vocational Lyceum of Construction Technologies. Then he continued his studies at the Regional Center for Professional Education of Innovative Technologies of Construction and Industry.

In 2021, Bohdan was called up for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And in 2023, he decided to sign a contract and defend Ukraine from the enemy alongside his brothers.

For his significant personal contribution to preserving Ukraine's defense capability, exemplary performance of military duty in repelling armed aggression against Ukraine, impeccable service, and high professionalism, Bohdan has received awards from the leadership of the military unit.

Bohdan is survived by his parents, brother, and fiancée.
