π― Zmiiv City Council sadly announces another irreparable loss suffered by our community.
On March 25, in the settlement of Bakhmut, while defending Ukraine, our compatriot, Junior Sergeant Yuriy Taranukha, commander of the 2nd machine-gun detachment of the machine-gun platoon of the 1st rifle battalion of the 1302nd Airborne Division, died. He was only 25...
Yuriy Taranukha was born on February 28, 1998 in Kharkiv. But his childhood and youth were spent in the village of Vyrishalne. After graduating from school, he continued his studies at the Kharkiv Vocational and Technical School. Since 2020, Yuriy has been serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the implementation of measures to ensure national security and defense, repel and deter armed aggression of the Russians in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
On November 23, 2022, Yuriy Taranukha was called up for military service by mobilization. According to the commander, he was an amazing guy, with a great sense of humor and incredible energy. He will remain a legend of the company and the soul of the platoon.
During this time, the very young soldier visited many hot spots. A month ago, he was presented for awarding the Medal "For Courage."
Before his last battle, he told his commander: "Boss, everything will be fine!".
Very young, with a heart full of hope and love - that's how he will remain in the memory of his family, friends, and fellow soldiers.
Unfortunately, words are difficult to heal the painful wound of loss in the heart. After all, the death of a loved one is a great test.
At this bitter moment, the Zmiiv City Council shares the grief of the family of the fallen Hero and, together with you, we bow our heads in deep sorrow.
Eternal memory and glory to the Ukrainian warrior who defended the Motherland and each of us!
May the Lord grant the Kingdom of Heaven and eternal peace to his soul!
The place and time of the farewell to the fallen Hero will be announced later.
Eternal glory and bright memory to Ivan!
