Died near the settlement of Rusyn Yar, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region.

The Zmiiv City Council announces with deep sadness and indescribable pain the heavy loss for the entire community - the death of our fellow countryman, Junior Sergeant Topchiy Vladyslav. He was only 28 years old...

Topchiy Vladislav, an unmanned aerial vehicle operator of the 2nd detachment of strike unmanned aircraft complexes, died on September 16, 2025 while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Rusyn Yar, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region.

Vladyslav was born on August 29, 1997 in the village of Zidki. Since childhood, he was distinguished by kindness, an open heart and sincerity. He studied at the Zidkiv Lyceum, after graduation he received an education at the Kharkiv Electromechanical Technical School. He worked at an oil refinery, but later consciously chose the path of military service.

He entered the Petro Sahaidachny National Academy of Land Forces in Lviv. It was there that he was caught in a full-scale Russian invasion. And on August 22, 2022, he signed a contract and stood up to defend the country.

Faithful to his oath, he performed combat missions as part of the 3rd mechanized battalion "Kholodny Yar", commanded unmanned aerial systems. His heart was filled with love for Ukraine, for his family, for life.

To his family, Vladyslav was a son and brother, to his friends, a loyal comrade, to his brothers, a support and example of resilience. His sincere smile, kind words, and willingness to support will forever remain in the memory of those who knew him.

The Zmiiv community bows its heads in mourning to his bright memory. We sincerely sympathize with Vladislav's family, relatives and friends. May the Lord give you the strength to endure this unspeakable pain.

Vladislav's feat will forever remain in the history of the community and in the hearts of grateful countrymen. His name will live on in the memory of generations, and his example will inspire us to fight further.

The farewell ceremony for Vladyslav Topchiy will take place on September 23 at 12:00 in the village of Zidky (near the village headman's office building).
