Volkov Dmitry Vadimovich 08.09.1996-12.07.2024

🕯 Bitter news has again reached the Zmiiv community. Our compatriot, a resident of the village of Chemuzhivka, Dmytro Volkov, died defending Ukraine.

Dmytro was born on November 8, 1996 in the village of Borova. He studied at Chemuzhivska comprehensive school, after graduating from the 9th grade he entered the Kharkiv Electro-Mechanical Technical School. He then received his education at the Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy named after Beketov.

On May 1, 2024, Dmytro was called up for mobilization to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Soldier Volkov Dmytro, assistant rifleman of the grenade launcher, 2nd airborne assault detachment, 1st airborne assault platoon of VC A0281, died on July 12, 2024 while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Toretsk, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region.

The Zmiiv City Council expresses its sincere condolences to Dmytro's family and friends.

We mourn with you, we bow our heads in sorrow.

The death of a defender is a tragedy, sadness, and pain for our entire community.

IN MEMORY OF DMITRY VOLKOV

On July 19, the village of Chemuzhivka said goodbye to the fallen Hero, 27-year-old Dmitry Volkov.

Dmytro joined the defense of the country on May 1, 2024. He served as an assistant grenade launcher shooter of the 2nd airborne assault detachment, 1st airborne assault platoon of the VC A0281.

The brave warrior fought his last battle near the settlement of Toretsk in the Donetsk region.

Dmytro is survived by his parents and younger sister.

The Hero was buried in his native village.

Eternal memory and glory to the Ukrainian Warrior, who defended his native Ukraine and each of us!
