The Zmiiv City Council announces with deep sadness and pain the death of our Defender, a resident of the village of Kostiantovka - Voloshchuk Oleksandr.
We bow our heads in sorrow before the bright memory of the Hero who gave his life for Ukraine, its freedom and independence. Oleksandr Voloshchuk was born on July 17, 1990 in the city of Kharkiv. He graduated from 9 grades of Kharkiv comprehensive school No. 95, after which he entered the Kharkiv vocational school, where he received the profession of an auto mechanic. He worked in his specialty all his life, had golden hands, was a true professional in his field.
Alexander had many friends and was a reliable support for his parents and brother.
Oleksandr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in March 2025. He served as a driver-electrician of the 5th crew of unmanned aerial vehicles of the 1st platoon of strike unmanned aerial vehicles of the 5th company of strike unmanned aerial vehicles of the 3rd battalion of unmanned aerial vehicles of the A5100 military unit.
On February 24, 2026, Oleksandr Voloshchuk was killed as a result of being hit by an enemy UAV near the settlement of Chernihivka, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region, while repelling and deterring the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
No words can lessen the pain of this loss, no sympathy can satisfy a mother's longing. The Zmiiv City Council expresses its sincere condolences to the family, loved ones, and brothers and sisters of the fallen Hero.

IN MEMORY OF OLEKSANDR VOLOSCHUK
On February 27, the Zmiiv community accompanied the Defender of Ukraine, a resident of the village of Kostiantivka, Oleksandr VOLOSCHUK, to his final journey.
Oleksandr Voloshchuk was born on July 17, 1990 in the city of Kharkiv. He graduated from the 9th grade of Kharkiv comprehensive school No. 95, later studied at the Kharkiv vocational school, where he received the profession of an auto mechanic. He worked in his specialty all his life - he had golden hands, was responsible, hardworking and a true professional in his field.
He had many friends and was a reliable support for his parents and brother.
In March 2025, Oleksandr joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a driver-electrician of the crew of unmanned aerial vehicles. He faithfully and courageously performed his military duty, defending the Ukrainian land from the enemy.
On February 24, 2026, Oleksandr Voloshchuk was killed as a result of being hit by an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle near the settlement of Chernihivka, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region, while performing a combat mission to repel and deter the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
No words can ease the pain of this irreparable loss. There are no words that could comfort the family and loved ones. The entire community mourns with the family.
