The man stood up for the defense of the Motherland at the beginning of a full-scale war. From March 2022, he was on duty at checkpoints for about a year. For several months, he slept in a car in a sleeping bag, put a folding chair, a table next to it, and stretched a camouflage net over the car. That's how he got his pseudonym. Then he joined the 23rd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought as a rifleman.

"Lyosha was bright, cheerful, optimistic. The first thing people say when they remember him is kindness. He was a good friend and always had an approach to people. He was also very family-oriented. He had a keen sense of justice. When he was drafted, he said that he was going to protect Ukrainian families. He said that he was going to prevent a Russian tank from standing in his hometown and village... That day, June 5, after a tank attack, one comrade died on the spot and three more were wounded. The man's leg was torn off, he was given first aid. But the living had to abandon the wounded and run away. Lyosha could not get out of the car. The guys shot back to the last one, until the car burned down with them..." - said his wife Victoria.

The soldier was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree.

Alexey was cremated. His ashes were scattered on the cliffs in his hometown of Zmiiv.
