Our fellow countryman, a resident of the village of Chemuzhivka, Zmiivska community, Yuriy Shmadchenko, a soldier, driver-electrician of the 2nd anti-tank detachment of the anti-tank platoon of the fire support company of military unit A7287, died in the war.
He was 47 years old...
Yuriy died heroically on October 25, 2024 in the area of the settlement of Zolota Niva, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, courageously fulfilling his military duty - defending Ukraine, its independence, and our peace with you.
Hero comes from the village of Chemuzhivka, where he was born and raised. After graduating from a local school, he began his career. In 2001, he started a family. Together with his wife, they raised two daughters.
Yuriy stood up to defend his native land in February 2024. For almost a year, he was considered missing, but recently the worst was confirmed - the soldier died while performing a combat mission.

Yuriy was born in the village of Chemuzhivka on July 25, 1978, into a large family. He had to grow up quickly, as he lost his parents early. After graduating from a local school, he began his career to help his family.
The man started his own family in 2001. Together with his wife, they raised two daughters.
Yuriy Shmadchenko stood up for the country's defense in 2024. But in October, contact with him was lost. And almost a year after his death, the Hero returned home. On the shield.
