Before the full-scale invasion, in 2021, Dmytro and his family move from Kharkiv to the village of Zidky. Dmytro was born on April 26, 1977 in Kharkiv. He studied at Kharkiv School No. 82, then graduated from Vocational School No. 18 as an assembler of radio-electronic equipment.
He worked in construction, participated in the reconstruction of historical buildings in Kharkiv. He was also a driver in the municipal security service. He was fond of computer programming and automotive engineering.
On February 22, 2023, Dmytro Zaitsev was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended the country from Russian occupation for more than a year.
Soldier Dmytro Zaitsev, a rifleman of the 3rd Rifle Division, 2nd Rifle Platoon, 2nd Rifle Company, 1st Rifle Battalion of the A7015 High-Speed ​​Rifle Regiment, was killed while performing a combat mission on August 14, 2024, near the settlement of Makiivka, Luhansk region.

Soldier Dmitry Zaitsev, a rifleman of the 3rd rifle department, 2nd rifle platoon, 2nd rifle company, 1st rifle battalion of the A7015 high-altitude combat unit, died while performing a combat mission on August 14, 2024 in the area of ​​the settlement of Makiivka,
Luhansk region. Originally from Kharkiv, Hero spent almost his entire life there. He worked in construction and as a driver in municipal security. In 2021, he and his mother will move to the village of Zidki. He had many plans for the future. But the war crossed out everything. In February 2023, Dmytro Zaitsev was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For more than a year, he defended the country from Russian occupation until his last breath, remaining faithful to his military oath and the Ukrainian people.
