SAINT NICHOLAS' HELPERS HAVE MADE 94 CHILDREN'S DREAMS COME TRUE
A charity event has concluded in the Zmiiv community, during which children of fallen Heroes, children of military personnel in captivity, missing persons, as well as children of persons with disabilities as a result of the war wrote letters to Saint Nicholas and shared their New Year's wishes.
The organizers of the event were the public organization VPWCARP together with the Department of Veterans Affairs of the Zmiiv City Council. We collected 94 children's letters in which little Ukrainians asked for the most important thing - peace and the return home of their parents. And also - they sincerely believed in a New Year's miracle and ordered gifts.
The letters were handed over to Zmiiv volunteer Olena Poburko, who distributed them among caring families from different parts of Ukraine. They became real helpers of St. Nicholas and turned children's dreams into real stories of kindness.
Among the wishes granted are laptops, tablets, gaming chairs, scooters and bicycles, toys, creative kits, sportswear and equipment, power banks, book certificates, perfumes, and sweet gifts.
On December 24, Saint Nicholas in Zmiiv already distributed some of the gifts to his recipients. The remaining packages will be delivered to children's homes before the New Year.
Thank you to everyone who joined these 94 stories of warmth, support, and care. May the holidays bring smiles to children, strengthen their faith in goodness, and may the most important wish – peace in Ukraine – come true. 🙏
